I am 21 years old. In the United States of America, that means that I am old enough to drink, and old enough to smoke. They have decided that since I'm now finally old enough to interact with the world, have a more mature mindset, and think for myself, I am also old enough to fill my body with these toxins to keep myself at a low vibration, where they can continue to shove their delusional agenda down my throat. I will say this and I will stand by this: The overturning of Roe vs Wade stood for so much more than abortion. This is only a distraction, and it's really not about abortion at all. They don't give a shit about our children, or they would work harder to prevent school shootings. These children come home from school talking about shooting drills and say "when it happens" instead of "if it happens." 6-year-old babies should not be this prepared, they should be protected. But they are only protected when they're in the womb of a 12-year-old who was impregnated by her rapist. This is not about protection, it's about control. Heaven forbid a woman has her own rights to her own goddamn body.
On that note, hell - what happened to the separation of church and state? All of the sudden, a Christian agenda decides the outcome of the entire country? Are you aware that not everyone believes in your Bible? In this country, there are people who are Pagan, Agnostic, Jewish, Buddhist, Hindu, and more. Not everyone follows your same agenda and therefore should not be forced to abide by a book they do not follow. There should be a separation of church and state for a REASON. As someone who was raised Baptist, wouldn't your God be ashamed of how you're treating these people? He gave you a choice, shouldn't you give other people that same grace?
Further on the point of choices. You believe, according to your religion, that sexuality (homosexual/bisexual/pansexual) is a choice. News flash, it's not. But if it were, you should be giving us the same grace that your God gave you. You are simply delusional if you think that you are in the position of a God who can determine the futures for citizens of this country. Most of you don't even know your book enough to know that the Bible doesn't really mention homosexuality, just pedophilia. Apparently, you aren't ready for that conversation yet, because the penalty for a miscarriage is more than the penalty for non consensual sex with a minor. So is the penalty for the "abomination of homosexuality," according to pastor Dillon Awes of Stedfast Baptist Church, as of June 8th, 2022. Pastor Awes believes that we, the homosexuals of this country, should be "lined up against the wall, and shot in the back of the head." Is that a healthy representation of your God? If you truly think it is, I believe we have some underlying issues here.
We deserve our right to marriage. We deserve our right to love who we love. We deserve to be able to adopt the children that you have forced into foster care. But you don't care about them enough to bring them into healthy environments, you only care about repopulation. You care about forcing teenage pregnancies that are not healthy, while allowing rapists to, quite literally, choose the mother of their children.
Also, on the note of a right to marriage, why are you literally taking steps even FURTHER backward to revoke the right to interracial marriage? Have we not come far enough as a country to leave behind the segregation and racism? Why would we ever want to bring that back?
We might as well just all set our clocks back 50 years because that is exactly where this country is headed, and I refuse to be a part of a population that sits back and watches it all happen silently.
For those of you who have sat back and silently watched this all unfold. I hope that you are aware that your right to privacy is at risk of being completely taken away. While I assume you're holding a device that holds all of your personal information, I suggest you be careful with it, because I guarantee you that it is no longer your right to that privacy. Roe vs Wade was about more than abortion, it was an attack on control and personal choice. This is a way to enforce repopulation in this country. Contraceptives will be restricted, and pregnancies will be forced regardless of the health of the mother. You do not have a right to marry who you love, marriage is now situational. There are rules literally surrounding who you are allowed to love. This country has taken 50 steps backward and for those of you who supported it because you're "pro-life," I hope you realize what else you lost. It only proves that you really aren't pro-life.
